Be Still...

I'm thinking a lot of my friend today. She's had turmoil after turmoil after turmoil. After being in the hospital on and off for over a year, right now, she's back in.

I arranged a hymn for our worship team to do on Sunday, and I've had it stuck in my head since rehearsal. It's a hymn I had stuck in my head a lot when we were going through all of our struggles two years ago, and I just love it. So, I'm going to post it here, and hopefully it will help some of you today - and hopefully it will comfort my dear Tish. Lift up a prayer for her today, please.

Be Still My Soul

Be still, my soul: the Lord is on thy side.
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain.
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change, He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul: thy best, thy heavenly Friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

Be still, my soul: thy God doth undertake
To guide the future, as He has the past.
Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake;
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul: the waves and winds still know
His voice Who ruled them while He dwelt below.

Be still, my soul: the hour is hastening on
When we shall be forever with the Lord.
When disappointment, grief and fear are gone,
Sorrow forgot, love’s purest joys restored.
Be still, my soul: when change and tears are past
All safe and blessèd we shall meet at last.

Foodie Monday - You be the blogger!

So really, I intended to start a mostly everyday blog a couple of weeks ago, but then we moved at my job, and the thought of sleep was way better than getting a post up here, so that's what I did. I slept. And moved. And that was about it!

So, now it's foodie Monday! I got a new netbook today, which means I'm blogging from my brand new computer, but now I have no foodie pics on this computer!

With fall quickly approaching, I absolutely love all things pumpkin! Tonight I'm going to be whipping up some pumpkin spread (low cal!) which will get posted next week. But for now - what's your favorite pumpkin thing? Feel free to share the recipe, too, and I'll add them to the blog!
